2011: Sam Brooks week 2 X Factor song choice

 
Sam Brookes has said that she will be performing a ballad on this week’s X Factor live show.

The final 12 will be singing for the second time in the live shows, but this time they will attempt to win public votes, performing songs with a ‘Love and Heartbreak’ theme.

On paper, this looks like a good theme for the Welsh bar maid, given her audition performance of a Whitney Houston classic.

Earlier today Sam teased: “Everybody wants me to go back to the old ballads, so you’re going to get a ballad off me.”

She added: “It’s a song that was in the charts forever and from your granny that’s 90, to the middle aged lady, to the teeny boppers to I think the 10-year-old girls and boys, everybody knows this song!”
