Rhythmix have come along way in the X Factor competition. Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade all entered The X Factor this year as solo artists.
At Bootcamp they failed to make it through as solo artists but the judges decided to put them into groups. The groups they were put into didn’t work out for the judges, and the girls were given another chance at the end of Bootcamp when they were put into a group together that we now know as Rhythmix.
After an emotional performance of Beyonce’s ‘Myself and I’ at Judges’ Houses, the girls thought they had blown it but Tulisa’s guest judge Jessie J said she had fallen in love with them.
When delivering the news of their fait to the girls, Tulisa said: “Girls, you’ve got something different about you, you’ve got an urban edge. It is my issue though, you’re all so young. Are you ready? I’m just not sure, but I’ve made a decision…I’m really sorry, but you’re gonna have to do this all over again.”
The news came as a completely shock to the girls, who cried and hugged each other.
Once the news had sunk in, Perrie said: “We honestly thought it was a no. I feel sick with excitement. I can’t wait. We’re just so glad Tulisa saw our potential.”
