X Factor 2011 Finalist: Top 16 Acts for the live shows revealed

All 32 acts who made it to the judges houses around the world, have done all that they can to impress their mentors before the live shows commence.

All that remain is for their mentor to say one of two simple words, ‘in’ or ‘out’. But this is X Factor, and nothing is made simple when it can be made dramatic and emotional.

So get your tissues ready for Sunday night’s final judges houses show as we go once again through the trauma of watching dreams dashed, sprits broken and Louis Walsh sneaking Jedward back into the competition hoping no one will notice.

However, if you want to spear yourself the misery, take a look at the list below, of the acts that have made it through to the live shows this year. Obviously it is subject to change should someone be replaced or X Factor bosses shock us with yet another twist like when 12 became 16 last year. Otherwise we look forward to these fine folks entertaining us for the next two and a half months and may the best act win:
