2011 Bootcamp: Garry Barlow will show his competitive side with the Boys Category

Garry Barlow is off to a flying start as he his handed perhaps the strongest category in this year’s competition, The Boys.

The Take That star admitted to his fellow judges that he was desperate to work with the young male singers and just as keen to avoid mentoring the overs or groups categories. He said:

There’s no question for me, the Boys is the best category. If I get the groups or the Overs I’m leaving.

 Fortunately for the show Barlow will not be leaving any time soon, because his wish came true and as he walked into the room and was greeted by the boys, Gary raved:

“Oh my goodness, I can’t believe it, and you know what the lucky thing for you guys is, this is my first year and I’m going to be on you 24-hours a day…I want to share with you my 20-years of experience in this industry and help you to be by the end of the competition the best that you can be…And we’re going to Los Angeles! ”

His boys – Craig Colton, Joe Cox, Frankie Cocozza, Luke Lucas, John Wilding, Marcus Collins, Max Vickers and James Michael – were pretty excited to have Barlow on side and their trip to LA.
