Marea Smithson impressed with her Anne Robinson, Deirdre Barlow & Ann Widdecombe impressions On Britain’s Got Talent

mareasmithson britain's got talentMarea Smithson, a 38 year old medical secretary surprised the audience and judges with her impressions at her Britain’s got talent audition.

However, before her performance Marea looked terrified from the moment she first appeared on stage so much so that Simon Cowell was concerned and asked:

‘Are you confident Marea, because you look a little bit shaky to me?’

The mum of two admitted:

‘I am a little bit shaky yeah.’

Marea told Ant and Dec she is quite a ‘shy person’ with ‘not much confidence.’ She added:

‘I prefer to be in the background. I am quite quiet and I often wish I wasn’t quite as shy, because it can be quite tough and stop me doing a lot of things.’

Smithson then announced that she would be performing a comedy impressions routine, to which Simon muttered:

‘Oh God, this is not going to be good!’

She started her act and needless to say, the panel were pleasantly surprised with her first impression of Ann Robinson on The Weakest Link.

Marea then launched into her take on Corrie’s Deirdre Barlow, with the big glasses and all and Alesha Dixon was clapping her hands with glee, as it was all so spot on.

Next up was Deirdre’s neighbour and fellow Coronation Street resident Audrey Roberts and then Smithson finished with an impersonation of Ann Widdecombe.
