Comedian Toju Okorodudu brought laughter to Britain’s Got Talent 2014 Auditions

Funny man Toju Okorodudu, who is one of only a handful of black comedians to appear on Britain’s Got Talent, brought laughter to the BGT 2014 auditions with his routine.

The 40 year-old from London, who works as a full time standup comedian, impressed the panel that included presenters Anti and Dec for the first time in the history of the show.

Before taking to the stage, Toju said: “My love for comedy started at school, I would always do impressions which went down well… but not with the teachers.”

He performed a routine of stand-up comedy and impressions including Cilla Black and Arnold Schwarzenegger that went down well with the audience.

After his performance, Alesha Dixon told him: “I don’t know what to say, that really moved me! Ant and Dec, thank you so much boys!”

David Walliams adds: “There’s no one out there that I can think of right now who’s like that.”

However, the biggest surprise of the night for Toju came from Ant and Dec. The duo presenters gave the comedian their Golden Buzzer and sent him straight through to the live semi-finals.
