2011 Week 5: Louis Walsh Confirmed Double X Factor Elimination

 Louis Walsh confirmed on the ITV This Morning program that their will be another shock twist to this series of the show, with two acts getting the chop this weekend.

This move is seen by many as a bid to improve ratings by X Factor bosses after been beaten in the ratings by the BBC Strictly Come Dancing show last week.

The move is sure to shake-up the show, but with some surprising bottom two results over the past few weeks no one will be safe this week.

Last year’s show saw three double eliminations, with the singer who received the fewest votes being kicked off automatically. The next two singers with the fewest votes had a sing-off with the judges deciding who went.

The move comes straight from X Factor boss Simon Cowell, with a source saying: “He hopes this will help the singers and the ratings.”

Another insider added: “It’s a cruel twist. But it means Frankie and Kitty could be out as they might not get the chance to be saved by the judges.”
