X Factor boyband Union J and singer Ella Henderson are finally out of the X Factor bubble but neither achieved their dream of making it to The X Factor grand final to have a chance of winning the £1,000,000 recording contract.
However, it is the season of Christmas cheer and Santa may soon be knocking on their door with a gift from Simon Cowell to get their music career off the ground.
The Sun reports that both Union J and Ella Henderson impressed the music mogul sufficiently for him to be considering offering them a lucrative recording deal.
In the earlier years of The x Factor, only the finalist would be guaranteed a recording deal, but in recent years there has been a few acts that have finished outside the top three that has gone on to have a successful career as a recording artist. This may well be on Cowell’s mind when he reflect on the line-up of talent on the live shows this year.
The newspaper also reports that Christopher Maloney may also be in line for a recording deal. Christopher was very unpopular with most of the judges and the studio audience each week, but was voted through to the grand final by the public.
Christopher was also subjected to a lot of negative press during his time on the show and there does not seem to be any end in sight now that the show is over for another year. However, some in the music business believe he will sell records.
During the X Factor live shows, Christopher top the pole of the votes received for seven out of the ten weeks, and some weeks he received almost double the number of votes as his nearest rival.
An insider told The Sun: “Chris has shown how popular he is by winning the vote on the first seven shows.
“If Cowell doesn’t give him an album deal then someone else will — and if you targeted an album of covers around Mothers’ Day then it could sell.”
