After watching Marcus Collins perform on The X Factor over the past 3 months, you would be forgiven to think that the obvious album for him to release would be covers of all those old songs he love to perform so much. Well, you would be wrong!
Marcus Collins has insisted that he won’t produce an album full of cover songs for his first record.
The former hairdresser came second in The X Factor last night, losing out to girl group Little Mix, however he has already planned the way forward and written a load of songs which he wants to take to the studio.
“I’ve been writing songs since I’ve been on the show about my experiences on here. I’ve got ideas and I’m ready to go. I can’t wait to get into the studio, make some music of my own and not do covers.”
Last night Marcus’ mentor Gary Barlow promised the former hairdresser that he will be with him every step of the way, and will always be there as his mentor. Barlow added:
“I want to make sure that this lad is really taken care of.”
