Changes to The X Factor will see the show ‘Sex up’ for 2011

The producers of this year’s X Factor are reportedly planning big changes to the show, which will see the talent show turn more into a reality show along the lines of Big Brother and The Only Way Is Essex.

Show bosses reportedly want to “sex up” the show, and are encouraging romance and drama on set.

The Sun reports that this year’s X Factor bootcamp will take place in a luxurious London mansion, complete with swimming pool.
A source told the newspaper: “They will be bringing in inflatables and plenty of booze. They want it to be a cross between Big Brother and The Only Way is Essex as they feel the public has tired of the original X Factor format.”

Another change will see the judges put in charge of the contestants’ appearance as well as their song selection, in the hope of innovating the show’s format.

The source added: “It’s a bit like America’s Next Top Model. The judges will decide if they want a contestant to dye their hair or chop it all off. I’m sure there will be disagreements, especially in Louis’ group!”
