Wildcard entrant Christopher Maloney exits The X Factor after finishing in Third Place

Scouser Christopher Maloney said fear well to The X Factor last night after being finally voted off the show by the public.



Christopher often reminds everyone that he is the wildcard contestant that was voted onto the live shows by the public, but last night the public must have felt he was not good enough to make it to the final day of the competition.

Maloney, who was mentored by Take That frontman Gary Barlow, made it to The X Factor final weekend along with Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur after last weeks semi-finals, but was booed by many in the audience. The other judges on the X Factor panel did not show Maloney much love either while he was on the show until he made it to the semi-finals where they had to recognise the fact that he had a loyal fan base out there supporting him.

On hearing the news of the public vote, Maloney told host Dermot O’Leary:

He said: “I feel like I’ve already won, I’m the third finalist, it’s been fantastic and thanks to everyone who’s been supportive.”

Mentor Gary Barlow added: “Congratulations, well done, he’s done fantastic.”
