X Factor Twist for 2012 revealed

X factor 2012 twist revealedThis weekend Judges Houses return to our screens for The X Factor 2012 season and at the end of it the judges will reveal the 12 acts they will be putting through to the live shows.

However, as in previous years there will be a twist on the live show aimed at boosting the ratings of the series by the producers.

Readers may a recall a high profile twist in last year’s series where we saw viewers vote for Amelia Lily to replace the controversial Frankie Cocozza.

This year according to reports, the producers have come up with – yes you’ve guess it – a ‘wildcard’ twist allowing one previously rejected act to return.

However, according to The Sun, the judges have also chosen four rejected acts to compete for that second chance place.

The identities of the mystery hopefuls will be revealed in Sunday’s episode, with viewers able to vote for who they want back in the competition. The winner will then join the other finalists on next Saturday’s first live show.

A source from the show revealed: “We like to add new twists to the show every year and this time the public get to choose an act to be added to the competition.

“With the standard so high this year, the judges had a tough time choosing their three, so this gives another amazing act the chance to perform on the X Factor stage.”

The news comes after fans started a Facebook campaign to get singer Joseph Whelan back on the show. The campaign as so far attracted over 220,000 likes.
