This year we saw the arrival of three new X Factor judges, and from our point of view they have not done a bad job at all.
Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh all express a desire to return to the show in 2012 at yesterday’s news conference, but some said it with more enthusiasm that others.
Walsh said at the news conference: “We’re only as good as the talent that walks through the door.
“We all work really hard. We always do.”
He added: “It’s all about this year at the moment. We know absolutely nothing about 2012.”
Meanwhile, the panelists also seem unclear whether Simon Cowell would be making appearance during the final.
Walsh said: “We know Simon watches the show every week, but I think he’s concentrating on the US show more than this one at the moment.”
Barlow commented: “I don’t think he is [coming].”
Kelly added that Cowell would have no problem with telling the judges if he thought their acts were not up to scratch.
She said: “If Simon wants us to know something, trust us, he’ll let us know.”
However, her body language was telly a different story. Her response to the original question was also less than enthusiastic. Our own view is that she might decide to focus on her music career next year given disappointing music sales this year.
