2011: Amelia Lily in danger of missing X Factor Final

Amelia Lily runs the risk of missing the X factor finals this week end because she has come down with laryngitis. The teenage singer has been ordered by doctors to rest and miss vocal training ahead of Saturday’s first live show, now only a few days away!

According to The Sun, the youngster has also been suffering from the pressure and stress of the show as the end draws near.

“She’s been under the most amount of pressure out of anyone and she’s just 17. She is fiercely ambitious but she hasn’t had the chance to grow up yet,” a source explained to the tabloid.

“Her voice is her biggest weapon but this week singing has started to hurt and she’s worried. It’s stress on top of stress.”

The source continued: “They are on call all the time. If they’re not in the studio, they’re on a red carpet, or playing a secret gig.

“The public only sees them twice a week but a show like this takes a lot of work. There is very little time to rest. Even when they do the cameras are rolling more often than not and it’s difficult to relax.”

The source added: “Amelia looks older than she is but you’ve got to remember she’s just a little girl.”
