The X Factor final 16 with a little support from JLS and One Direction teamed up to produce this year’s charity single, a cover of Rose Royce track ‘Wishing on a Star’.
The song has already shifted over 70,000 units since its release on Sunday, making it number one in mid week charts. Writing on Twitter today, X Factor boss Simon Cowell said: “A massive thank you to everyone who supported this.”
“If you don’t know about the charity @Tog4ShortLives it is run by amazing people. You’re all very generous. @TheXFactor.”
