JLS star Aston Merrygold was left struggling for breath, when he got into difficulty during a recent video shoot it has been reported.
Merrygold is said to have gotten into difficulty in the water while filming for the band’s latest music video and had to be rescued by on duty lifeguards, after he was seen thrashing about in a swimming pool.
The boys were performing underwater in a leisure centre in Essex, when the singer got his foot caught in a cable and had to be rescued by lifeguards, much to his embarrassment.
Insiders say that the singer was mortified and also a bit shook up and one told The Sun that the crew had to take a break from filming, to allow him to regain his cool.
They explained:
“Aston was really shaken up. He couldn’t untangle the cable and was underwater for some time.
“The other lads thought he was joking until it became obvious he was stuck. Luckily they had lifeguards on set who dived in to save him.
“In the end he was gutted that a couple of blokes rescued him instead of female lifeguards.”
This year JLS have gotten behind Sport Relief in a big way by recording the charity single, “Proud”, which is set to be released from 18 March 2012. Check it out in the video below:
