The 25-year-old moved from Manchester to London to make a career in music, but end up spending his days in greasy spoon cafes searching for jobs.
However, the talented singer but his own stamp on Avicii’s track turning a club banger into a rather spectacular ballad to woo the coaches.
Nick Dixon is the latest act to try and make a comeback on The Voice UK this year after failing to impress the judges previously.
Singing ‘Home Again’ by Elton John, the 17-year-old tells cameras: “It’s more than a dream, it’s my life and what I want.”
