X Factor judge Kelly Rowland missed the live shows this weekend, due to a severe throat infection, but claimed to be watching last night’s episode live as she tweeted to her fans.
This evening, she was on the phone with the X Factor studio, when it was revealed that two of her acts – Sophie Habibis and Misha Bryan – were in the sing off.
After their performances, Rowland voted to save Misha B to stay, but later she confessed that she thinks all the remaining acts need to fight harder in the competition.
Speaking on The Xtra Factor, Rowland admitted that she thinks the standard of performances has slipped since week one and she was disappointed by the renditions the final ten gave on last night’s Halloween themed show.
She told Olly Murs and Caroline Flack:
“I always say it’s hard work and I’ve got to be honest, just getting the chance to look at all the performances from here, I feel that everybody really don’t look like they want it, they have got to want it some more. “
Giving some advice to the remaining nine acts, she added:
“Take it up a notch, like the first week of performances were so good and now they’ve dropped down a bit for me and now it’s time to pick it up. How bad do you love music? How bad do you want this opportunity? How bad do you want to show the rest of the world that the UK is the bomb and it’s got crazy talent?”
