Frankie Cocozza must have known when he took to the stage tonight that he is the bookies favourite to be on his way home tomorrow night.
Just like last week, he and his mentor Gary Barlow, decided to put on a show with a rock star entrance in a bid to keep him in the competition.
The young hopeful admitted that he was nervous about performing on the Halloween theme episode, and took to Twitter a few hours before it was aired, telling followers:
‘Getting excited\nervous now.. Can’t wait to feel the pure adrenaline kick in’
Tonight Frankie took on the 1981 song ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’ by the punk rock band The Clash. After his grand entrance, Frankie then made his way to a huge bed on the middle of the stage, where he was surrounded by a number of scantily clad beauties, who gyrated around him as he sang.
However, unfortunately yet again his vocals didn’t quite match the staging.
Judges Comments:
Louis Walsh: Frankie I think you’ve got your swagger back. That was vocally a lot better than I was expecting but I think you’re always going to be known more for your antics offstage.
Tulisa Contostavlos Frankie I think you quite won me over tonight with that performance. I am starting to think that the Frankie we saw in the first audition maybe wasn’t the real you. It took us all a while to see the real Frankie. You’re rebellious, you’re wild and I liked it tonight. It was a good performance.
Alexandra Burke: I’m really confused about you because I feel like you lack in vocal range, I think that you gave energy in your performance which is always great but my fear is how serious do you take this? But it was an energetic performance to say the least.
Gary Barlow: Don’t worry Frankie she’s only here for one night mate! Really good performance, I’m really proud of you. Well done. |
