2011: Steven Spielberg Hooked On The X Factor

Film producer and director Steven Spielberg, has admitted that he got totally hooked on The X factor, while visiting the UK last year.

Spielberg, who is most famous for films like Jaws, ET and Jurassic Park, was in Britain working on the film War Horse last year, when he became a fan of the hit TV show.

He revealed that he and his family spent a lot of time in hotel rooms while working in the UK and became totally ‘infatuated’ with Simon Cowell’s show, and watched it ‘all the time.’

He admitted:

“I wanted to go to sleep because I was shooting but I’d wind up watching instead of sleeping. I became a sappy devotee.”

However, Steven did see one big difference between the UK show and American Idol, he thinks Simon was much nicer on the British series!

Spielberg told Empire magazine: “I couldn’t believe how nice Cowell was to his fellow Brits and how horrendous he had been to all the Americans. What an attitude adjustment!”
