2011 Live Show 2: Craig Colton took on a new Beyonce hit song

Craig Colton took on Beyonce tonight and for us Beyonce won.

When we heard this week’s song theme, we felt that Craig would be one of the candidates that would shine tonight, but for us he would have done much with another song. In fact we would liked to have heard him sing the Elvis song that Janet sang.

The last part of the Beyonce hit ‘Best Thing I Ever Had’ was not too bad, but overall we were expecting a lot more from him.

Gary Barlow admitted that the biscuit factory worker from Liverpool wasn’t sure about the track at first, saying:

“Craig has another amazing sing this week but he wasn’t sure about it, when I gave it to him. He’s very tough on himself, he just needs support and that’s what I’m there for.”

The judges on the whole, thought he did well, but for us all his previous performances were mush better. Check out his perfromance video below.

kelly Rowland: Craig you have a beautiful voice but for me, maybe I’m biased but not the best song choice but you still delivered a great performance….you can’t deny that.

Gary Barlow: Well done you are in a league of your own mate. I thought the song choice was absolutely perfect. I know you’re enjoying your newfound fame and all your followers, you deserve it…well done!
