Judges Houses 2011: Amelia Lilly wowed superstars Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Roland in Miami

A confident and self-assured performance from 16-year-old Amelia Lily leaves mentor Kelly Rowland and guest Jennifer Hudson impressed in Miami.

Kelly Rowland flew her girls across the pond to Miami Florida for the last chance for them to impress her before the live shows.

Speaking before hand, Amelia admits: “So many thousands of people audition but how would little old me, little old Amelia Lily from Middlesbrough, get so far. Obviously I want to make it so much but I know that if anybody wants me to make it other than myself it would be my dad…

“My dad is definitely my biggest supporter, he really, really wanted me to succeed and get my dream and if anyone I am doing it for him… I just want to make sure that I nail each performance that I give and at least I can turn away and say that I gave it my everything… I just want to do my family proud”

After her performance in the Florida sunshine of Katy Perry’s ‘ET’,  Kelly and Jennifer were both left impressed.

“Wow!” Kelly reacts, adding: “That made me think, Katy who?! She sung that song like oh no, I wrote this! This is my song!”

But while Jennifer agrees Amelia had the voice, she expresses concern about her personality, saying: “She kept her character all the way through the whole song until the very end and as soon as she finished she went back in her shell.”
