She said she would never do it again, but singer Cheryl Cole has had a change of heart and mind as she patches up her differences with Simon Cowell and return to the X Factor in 2014.
Cowell – who announced his own comeback to the X Factor UK earlier this year – took to Twitter to end months of rumours about Cole’s involvement.
He wrote: “It’s official. Cheryl is back.”
He added: “Be careful what you wish for! Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent.”
Meanwhile, Cheryl posted a picture of herself and Simon on her official Instagram page with the caption: “GUESS WHAT!!.. I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck“
The former Girls Aloud singer’s decision to rejoin the show marks the end of her rift with Simon, which begun in 2011 after they both headed Stateside to launch The X Factor USA.
Cheryl was dropped from her judging role just three weeks in to filming, with Simon reportedly believing that she’d be more at home on the UK version amid claims that Americans found her Geordie accent too hard to understand.
However, Cheryl is set to make her comeback to the UK show later this year with a reported 1.5 million pounds pay packet.
