The X Factor bosses has finally come to their senses and ditched the Flash Vote that has tormented us for the past few weeks on a Saturday nights.
Officially it is said that it would be suspended as a result of a live performance from Nile Rogers and Chic to kick off disco week on the hit ITV show.
However, we have learnt today that it has been axed indefinitely because of the disappointing response to the initiative.
The new initiative, that gave fans ten minutes to vote for their favourite act straight after the performances, isn’t getting the results bosses expected.
A source told Mirror Online: “The Flash Vote isn’t quite working as expected, it is a new thing that the producers wanted to try but now they’re thinking of moving a live act to fill the time slot and go back to the one act on the Sunday as well as the reveal of who the bottom two contestants are.”
We have always though the flash vote was a bad idea because it gave an advantage to one act over another, and also it got rid of deadlock which we thank always add a final bit of drama to the Sunday night results show.
