Andrea Magee from Kent tried out for The X Factor this year and got the judges fighting over who should mentor her.
The Belfast-born singer could not have hoped for a better start on the ITV show after first finding fame on the BBC’s Fame Academy in 2003, but 10 years on Andrea is still looking to fulfil a dream after forging a career as a performer and music teacher.
The 28-year-old part-time music teacher gave a rendition of a self-penned track for the judges at her first audition and wowed with her performance.
Take That star Gary Barlow called it ‘beautiful’ while Louis praised her for being ‘different’ and finding her ‘own niche.’
Andrea went through to perform again for the judges at Wembley arena with 4 yes votes from the judges.
