Zoe Matthews is flying the flag for Bargoed in Wales at The X Factor 2013 auditions

19-year-old Zoe Mathews from Bargoed in Wales brought more than her singing voice to The X Factor auditions; she also brought the Welsh language.

The beautiful Welsh blonde said she wanted to put Wales on The X Factor map, and in her VT she even started to promote the Welsh language among her fellow contestants and ITV2’s presenters Caroline and Matt.

Zoe also impressed American judge Nicole scherzinger with her strong accent. The ex-Pussycat Dolls star was amazed to hear the way Zoe spoke, and said she loved it. But confessed she could not understand a word that she said.

Zoe went onto sing Hurt by Christina Aguilera, but the judges thought she sang it as though she was impersonating Christina.

However, Zoe did enough to impress and went through to the next round with four yeses.
