Speaking backstage before his audition he said: “I’m constantly singing in work all the time, my clients call me the singing hairdresser – I love it and I’m renowned for it now.
“I’m here, I’m ready, I’m prepared. I’d like to be a worldwide singer, I want people to know me every corner of the globe. I want people to hear my voice and know that’s it me and to enjoy my music.”

Tulisa: Marcus, do you know what that just felt like for me, I didn’t even feel like you were auditioning, I felt like I had come to see you perform, that’s how it felt, you were so comfortable up there, you literally owned the stage, loved it!
Louis: Marcus, you can sing, you’re soulful, you’ve got the personality, you’ve got the whole package, and I loved it.
Kelly: Baby you’re going Marks & Spencers, Harvey Nichols, Paris, you have it all!
Gary: I feel for the first time we have actually heard someone who sang in the pocket of a song, someone who doesn’t just sing on the beat but actually finds their own groove within the song, I really enjoyed that audition, well done, congratulations.
