The new series of The X Factor for 2012 was launched in London today. Present were judges Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh at the red carpet event in the center of the capital.
The trio was joined by presenters Dermot O’Leary and Caroline Flack, as well as a special guest appearance and performance from last year’s winners Little Mix!
Little Mix sang an acoustic version of their new song ‘Wings’, out next week, before a preview of Saturday’s premiere episode was given to the press.
There was one notable absence for the X Factor team however, that was Gary Barlow. Gary withdrew from the limelight to spend more time with his family following the tragedy of stillborn daughter Poppy last week.
The 41-year-old received a standing ovation as he fulfilled his commitments at the Olympic closing ceremony on Sunday night, performing an emotional rendition of Rule The World with his Take That bandmates.
