It has been revealed that Simon Cowell has been in talks with international singning superstar Adele, about joining the new series of The X Factor.
The music mogul is said to be desperate to land a big named music star for the panel of the reality show this year and in a bid to bolster last year’s low ratings, has asked the superstar to consider coming on board.
Adele has become one of the most popular artists of the decade, both in Britain and in America and insiders say the TV boss wants some of her gold for his TV series.
Cowell recently praised the ‘Someone Like You’ singer, telling The Sun:
“Adele is an incredible story. You wouldn’t have predicted this years ago when we were such an image-infatuated business.”
An insider told The Daily Star that she has now become top of ITV bosses wish list for this year’s X Factor, explaining:
“The producers love her.”
However, it has also been rumored that Adele may be wanted for a role on the US version of The X Factor, after he sacked Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from the lineup. Fox bosses are said to be keen to land Adele to join Cowell and L.A Reid and one insider said:
“Simon thinks Adele’s success and achievements are incredible.
“He recognises that true musicianship and a serious approach can bring a lot of credibility and an extra dimension to his show.”
