The X Factor Wins Best Talent show at the National Television Awards 2012

The National Television Awards had a late Christmas present for Simon Cowell when tonight the X Factor was awarded the Best TV Talent show prize.

Despite being one of the shows worst years in its history, the public still seem to be fully behind the show.

The X Factor beat rivals Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing On Ice and Britain’s Got Talent to be named Best Talent Show at the annual ceremony, where all of the awards are voted for by the public.

X Factor judges Tulisa and Gary went up to accept the award, along with last year’s winners Little Mix, who had performed previously on the show.

Tulisa said: “Oh my God, this is amazing, I definitely wasn’t expecting this. So many people to thank!”

Gary added: “There are so many people to thank! Well done to all the contestants, all the crew and well done to us, eh?”
