Simon Cowell seems very happy that a group has finally won The X Factor after so many years of wanting to see it happen.
The X Factor boss was so delighted that he sent a huge bouquet of flowers to congratulate girl group Little Mix on winning the show.
Writing to the girls, the Syco chief told Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie that the whole label was now behind making them a success.
The group narrowly scooped victory last night as they beat Marcus Collins in the final with 52% of the vote.
Sending the girls flowers, Simon wrote: “Congratulations! You did great and the whole company are behind you. Will see you soon when I get back. Simon X”
Writing on Twitter, Simon also congratulated the group’s mentor Tulisa on steering Little Mix to victory.
“I was really hoping a group would win this year. [Tulisa] has done a great job. These girls could be stars,” he wrote, before having a dig at X Factor USA groups mentor Paula Abdul!
“Congratulations to Little Mix. And Paula as you can see, groups can win this show!” he joked.
