2011 Week 10 X Factor Final Results: The Winner is Little Mix!

Tonight Little Mix became the first group every to win The X Factor!

After a very entertaining final over two days, Tulisa’s little Muffins, Little Mix, was tonight crowned winner of the X Factor 2011.

In tonight’s final, we saw Marcus and Little Mix performing a  Christmas song, their favourite song of the series and the winner’s single. And when Dermot O’Leary revealed that the title has been awarded to the girl group, X Factor history was made.

On hearing the news, the girls looked shocked to the core and while their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos wept, Jade Thirlwall raved:

“We are just so so grateful and thankful to everyone who voted. Thank you to all the X factor people backstage.”

Leigh-Anne added:

“OMG that is insane!”

Jesy Nelson continued:

“This is never going to sink in, seriously. We just want to thank the public for voting!”

However,  Marcus was gracious in defeat and tried to compose himself to wish Little Mix well. He told Dermot:

“I am really proud of myself and these girls really deserve it, they are amazing. I felt the performances went well, I enjoyed them and I hope the people at home did. It was amazing.”

His mentor Gary Barlow added:

“He was an amazing contestant. I have enjoyed every minute I’ve spent with him, he’s done brilliantly. be proud of yourself mate….well done!”
