2011 X Factor Finals Results: Amelia Lilly voted off in third place

Tonight after a magnificent first day of the X Factor finals, Amelia Lily was voted of the show finishing the competition in third place.

Dermot O’Leary announced that Little Mix and Marcus Collins had received enough votes to put them through to tomorrow’s final show.

That meant that Amelia was going home and had missed out on the chance to perform her version of the winners single.

On hearing the news, Amelia told Dermot:

“Can I just say thank you to everyone who voted me back into the competition. Thank you guys. My ambition was to get to the final and I did it. This isn’t the last of Amelia Lily.

It was the best night of my life and the best moment was performing with Miss Kelly Rowland herself.”

Kelly added:

“She is 17 and look how incredibly bright her future is. She is the best vocalist here and I am so proud of her…she’s a star, absolute star.”

Tomorrow in the last day of The X Factor final, Marcus Collins and Little Mix your  will go head to head performing a Christmas track and their version of the winner’s single.
