2011: Factor song choice for week 10 live final show

OMG! The X Factor 2011 is almost over! What will we do with ourselves at the weekends now? Good job Christmas is around the corner, we’ll go shopping! Shop till we drop.

Anyhow moving on, what will The X Factor serve up on the songs menu for the finalist who made it to Wembley this weekend? Well, this is not yet confirmed, but it is expected that the format will be similar to previous years, where the contests perform their audition song, their favourite performance on the live shows and a duet with a guest artist . So armed with this knowledge, this is what the line-up should look like:

Amelia
Duet with Kelly Rowland – River Deep, Mountain High by Tina Turner.
First audition song – Piece Of My Heart by Janis Joplin.
Favourite performance – The Show Must Go On by Queen.
Little Mix
Duet with Tulisa – Mash up of Empire State Of Mind and If I Ain’t Got You, both by Alicia Keys.
First audition song – Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake.
Favourite performance – Don’t Let Go by En Vogue.

Marcus
Duet with Gary Barlow – She’s Always A Woman by Billy Joel.
First audition song – Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder.
Favourite performance – Reet Petite by Jackie Wilson.

However, The X Factor keep wanting to change things every year so this is what we have learnt that the contestants will actually be singing this weekend:

Amelia
Duet with Kelly Rowland – River Deep, Mountain High by Tina Turner.
She will also take on Beyoncé’s Ain’t No Other Man.

Little Mix
Duet with Tulisa – Mash up of Empire State Of Mind and If I Ain’t Got You, both by Alicia Keys.
They will also perform Florence And The Machine’s ‘You Got The Love.’

Marcus Collins
Duet with Gary Barlow – She’s Always A Woman by Billy Joel.
He will also sing Outkasts’ Hey Ya.

In addition the contestants are expected to perform a Christmas song each.

On Sunday the last two acts still in the competition will perform the winners single (see article here.)
