2011: Caroline Flack under fire again over toy boy Harry Styles from One Direction

There seem to be something about One Direction and older women; first Zayn Malik and Rebecca Ferguson and now Harry Styles and Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack.

For several weeks now there have been stories in the press about the relationship between Styles and Flack. However, Flack has come in for more criticism today from jealous One Direction fans, after photographs emerged of a tired looking Harry Styles leaving her London home yesterday morning.

The 32 year old’s relationship with 17 year old Harry has come under scrutiny due to the age gap, but while many have been supportive of their romance, others, especially fans of the X Factor boyband, have been quick to send Caroline abusive messages via Twitter.

 
Speaking to Now magazine this week, Caroline was keen to stress that there’s nothing disgusting about a relationship with an age gap.

She said: “Some people tend to see the negative immediately and that’s what I find really strange. If two people like each other and get on, why does anyone else find a negative in it? I know it’s human nature for everyone to gossip. But why say it’s bad? No one’s being hurt at all in anyway.

“It’s the age gap that’s the story. What’s hard for me to get my head around is people saying it’s disgusting. I don’t think it is.”
