Misha B finished The X factor in fourth place this year, but the teenager came out on top when it came to record sales.
According to Last.fm, download data shows that Misha’s tracks had far more plays and listens than all of the remaining trio combined!
With the contestants’ tracks available to download after each show, Last.fm can track which of the final three are being listened to the most across any site listeners are scrobbling from.
And it’s Misha who is out in front, with nearly 14,000 listeners, compared to just 4,000 odd for second place Little Mix and a similar figure for Marcus. While surprisingly, Amelia Lily has just over 1,000.
Last.fm said: “Despite what might be happening on screen, music fans are voting with their ears, choosing to listen to the latest X Factor contestant eliminated, Misha B, more than any of this year’s finalists. Of those that are left, the bookies and listeners favourite is Little Mix, so we might just see the first ever group win the competition”.
