2011 X Factor Winners song ‘Cannonball’ infuriate judges

Earlier this week it was reported that the winner of this year’s X factor will record Damien Rice’s Cannonball as the winners single.

However, The X Factor judges are reportedly annoyed with show bosses over the track. According to the Daily Star, the panel are annoyed that the finalists were not each been given their own track like last year.

Last year the finalist – One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson and eventual winner Matt Cardle – all record their own track tailored to their voice and performance, but this year all four hopefuls have taken on the same song.

But the decision is seen as a backward step and has annoyed Gary, Tulisa, Louis and Kelly who had hoped for a song styled to their acts.

A show insider told the newspaper: “None of the judges were happy.

“They feel they should be able to pick songs that will suit their act.”
