2011 Week 6 Results: Kitty Brucknell voted off after Over The Rainbow

Kitty Brucknell was eliminated from the X Factor, on tonight’s live results show when she  found herself in the sing off against the competition’s strongest singer Misha B.

Brucknell performed ‘Over The Rainbow’ as her save me song and for us it was the best she has ever sounded. We like the striped back performance and her appearance without all that makeup.

On the other hand Misha rendition of Jessie J’s ‘Who You Are’ was simply sensational. She too sound better than we have ever heard her.

After the sing off the judges said:

Louis Walsh: Two incredible emotional performances from two amazing singers. I am Kitty’s mentor, so I have to save Kitty and send Misha B home.

Tulisa: Both of you girls are amazingly talented, that was a dramatic showdown. But I want to see the person who I can relate to as a musician, so I am sending Kitty home.

Kelly Rowland: I really believe in this young lady and I want people to vote for her. Misha is wonderful and I think that you are a great talent but I am going to have to send you home.

Gary Barlow: What an amazing sing off. If you were to ask me which two people want this the most it would be you two. Kitty I have always been a fan but the connection with the audience isn’t there. The weird thing is with you Misha, you would be signed by a record label first. The act I’m sending home is Kitty.

With that final vote from Gary, Kitty was gone. However, it was not all bad for Kitty, the Lady Gaga impersonator had her dreams come true, when she met the star backstage earlier in the evening.
