Leadenhall Market places host to The Apprentice 2014 for the first sales task in the tenth year anniversary of the show

Leadenhall Market is a beautiful Victorian market in the City of London that has a elegant Victorian roof covering stalls selling flowers, cheese, meat and other fresh food. There are also shops, pubs and restaurants in the market building.

Diagon Alley scenes in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone were filmed in Leadenhall Market.

For the 10th Anniversary of The Apprentice, Lord Sugar chose this location as the place to kick start the new series with a new crop of 20 candidates all competing to become his business partner.

When the candidates arrive, they were greeted with piles of products from opening tasks of previous series’.

The girls and lads are tasked with selling items such as t-shirts, coffee, sausages, flowers and fish. The aim of the game? Raise as much cash as possible.

The boys, are full of bravado as they rush to the t-shirt printers, screaming ‘sell, sell, sell’ and egging each other on, until of course they realise they are dashing up the street, having forgotten their blank garments.

See the drama unfold on The apprentice tonight at 9 on BBC 1
