Britain's Got Talent Finals

Jon Clegg Ant and Dec jokes on the Britain’s Got Talent 2014 final proved the judges right for giving the comedian the wildcard

Jon Clegg returned to the Britain’s Got Talent stage tonight with jokes, gags and impersonations on the Britain’s Got Talent 2014 final that proved the judges were right to give the comedian this year’s wildcard.

The funnyman lost out in the first semi-finals to musical theatre band Collabro and magician Darcy Oake but the judges soon realised how popular he really was with the British public and gave him the wildcard for the final.

Jon’s performance started with an impersonation of Ant and Dec and once again he made the latter as camp as a row of tents. Clegg then moved into a brilliant reworking of Homer and Marge Simpson, also taking on Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Sarah Millican and Keith Lemon.

These are the judges comments:

DAVID WALLIAMS: I just want to watch your Dec impression forever! It was brilliant act, I really fought for you and I’m glad I did. That was extraordinary!

ALESHA DIXON: I am so happy for you. You did not let us down. Fabulous performance!

AMANDA HOLDEN: You are the epitome of variety. Every impression was spot on. I could watch you doing Dec all day.

SIMON COWELL: This show was designed for people like you and I am so happy that I persuaded the other three to put you through. You didm;t have a lot of time to prepare. Jenson was really smart. People will like you and I’m happy you’re here!
