The third semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2014 saw singers Kitty & Rosie, Elis Chicken, Lucy Kay and Reaformed go head to head for a place in the live finals tonight.

After their performances and the judges gave their comments, it was time for the public to have their say. Ant and Dec revealed that the act with the most public vote was opera singer Lucy Kay.

They then announced that dance groups Cartel and French dancers Yanis Marshall, Arnaud And Medhi had received the next most votes and the judges would decide which would be joining Lucy in the final.

David Walliams voted: “Two brilliant but different dance acts… I love Cartel but I cannot say no to three Frenchmen in high heels!”

Alesha Dixon agreed: “Yanis, you were faultless, I have to go with who gave the slickest performance and that was Yanis.”

Amanda Holden however backed Cartel, leaving Simon Cowell to decide. He said: “Even though I have my issues with Cartel, there’s something about you… my heart goes with Cartel.”

With the judges’ votes tied, the decision went back to the public vote where it was revealed that Yanis Marshall & co had the most votes.

As a result, the French dancers joined Lucy, The Addict Initiative, James Smith, Collabro and Darcy Oake in the final.
