Lucy Kay sings Nella Fantasia on Britain’s Got Talent 2014 third semi final and stole the show

Student Lucy Kay from Glasgow, revealed at her BGT audition how she got closer to her mum and found solace in operatic singing after she had to leave her school because of bullying.

Simon acknowledged Lucy’s troubled past at her first Britain’s Got Talent audition saying “some of the best singers, sing through pain” and Alesha recognised Lucy has “a gift”.

Tonight, the 24 year old who is original from Nottingham, take to the Britain’s Got Talent stage once more to deliver a memorable performance of ‘Nella Fantasia’ that will book her place in the live final.

After her amazing performance tonight, these are the comments from the judges:

David Walliams: It was flawless. Your voice is beautiful. You are a ready made star. If I was Simon I would sign you tonight.

Alesha Dixon: I adore you and I know how much this means to you. You transported me during that performance.

Amanda Holden: Oh Lucy it was the most beautiful, haunting piece of music I have heard in a long time. You look stunning as well. There is such a huge gap in the market and you are the girl to fill it.

Simon Cowell: Incredible. You literally saved the show tonight. I was on my way home and then you came back. You looked like a star, you sounded like a star and I am so happy that we found you on this show.
