Britain's Got Talent Semi Finals

Jodi Smith sings Let It Go on the second semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2014

Jodi Smith’s song choice at her first BGT audition became a big talking point when music mogul Simon Cowell wanted her to do a U turn and choose another song because he did not like the one she wanted to sing.

In the end the 15 year-old from Wales won Cowell over after the other judges stood firm against him and told Jodi to carry on with her song. She went on to belt out a brilliant rendition of ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade’ that won Simon Cowell over.

Tonight, Jodi returned to the Britain’s Got Talent stage in the live semi-finals with another song from a musical that she hopes will not just win Simon Cowell over once more, but also the voting public. She sang Frozen’s ‘let it go’ for the panel and these are their comments:

David Walliams: You have proved Simon Cowell wrong!

Alesha Dixon: Your vocals cut through, your stage presence was brilliant and you were born for musical theatre.

Amanda Holden: I love you! You hit those notes so fantastically. It is such a difficult song. I don’t know where you get the support from. You showed no nerves whatsoever. Utterly faultless.

Simon Cowell: Jodi when I intentionally stopped you that first time I did it because I felt you needed some confidence. What I like about you is that you are fearless, you know who you want to be as an artist. I think you’re going to get a ton of votes after that.
