The BGT boyband known as Collabro wowed at their first audition at the weekend with an impressive rendition of a track from the musical Les Miserables that made the bookies see them as the early front runners to win Britain’s Got Talent 2014.

The operatic group, who performed Stars from the musical Les Miserables, wowed the judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

The band that includes Cumbrian singer Matthew Pagan,20, Thomas J Redgrave, 24 from Lincolnshire, Jamie Lambert 23 from South Thyneside, are virtually guaranteed to make the semifinals when the judges make their final decisions later in the series.

However, they will be up against strong competition from dancers Paddy (79) and Nico whose audition also struck a chord with the viewing public.
