Britain’s Got Talent judges – Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden – got a big surprise from musical singing group Collabro when they sang at their audition revealing a very different side to their boyband image.
The five piece band who’s members are Matthew, Jamie, Tom, Michael and Richard, belt out Stars from the hit musical Les Misérables in a manner that got the judges attention.

The singers admitted: “We have only really sung in front of our friends and family before, so this is our debut.”
“To get a standing ovation from an audience of this size would be out of this world. It would be outstanding!”
After their performance Amanda later admitted: “You have reduced me to tears. I could burst with pride for you because that was bloody brilliant.”
Simon said: “When the five of you came out I thought ‘here we go again, another boyband, this is going to be awful’ but it was an absolutely brilliant audition.”
“That was a hit record.”
David Walliams gushed: “It was a faultless performance guys, it was fantastic. It was not an obvious choice of song either, which was great, because we hear the same songs over and over again. I really think this could be very big.
Alesha Dixon jumped on the bandwagon too and concluded: “You have achieved that in a month? That is astonishing. It’s one of the strongest auditions I have ever seen.”
“To do so much in such a short space of time….how do you do that?”
Collabro won four yeses and a place in the next round.
