The Voices of Incognitio was heaven sent when they took to the Britain’s Got Talent stage to perform Oh Happy days on the fifth and final semi-finals of the series.

At their first audition they got everyone’s attention with the way they started their performance. Rather than starting on stage, they appeared on balconies and from behind the judges before gathering at the front of the auditorium performing ‘Total Praise’ by Richard Smallwood.

We were quite excited by them, because their approach was different to anything we have seen before for gospel singers.

However, tonight Incognitio brought church to the masses on BGT with their staging and song choice. But we were disappointed with the song; we were hoping for something fresh and new but what we got was a song and a gospel performance that’s been around the block a few times now.

The judges on the other hand were quite uplifted by the group:

Simon Cowell said it makes him “want to be nice,” he gushed, “I’m converted” after the biblical brilliance.

David said: “If this is what going to church was like as a kid then I’d still be religious. Can I book you for mine and Simon’s wedding?”

Simon interrupted and said: “Don’t be smutty, we’re not in love, we don’t even like each other.”

To which the comedian hit back: “There’s nothing smutty about two men in love Simon, it’s quite beautiful.”
