22 year-old bricklayer Robbie Kennedy revealed this week that auditioning for the Britain’s Got Talent panel and performing in front of hundreds of people, was the hardest thing he’s ever done.
He told WalesOnline:
“The audience is a big thing but the nerves come because you actually are stepping on stage to be judged. You know that if it goes well it could be the start of a career but if it doesn’t, it could be – it’s the hardest thing I’ve done.”
Tonight he performed Bryan Adams ‘Every Thing I Do I Do It For You’ to mixed reviews from the judges.
David said: “That was fantastic. You made song completely your own, we believed every single word of it and judging by the screams tonight it sounds like you’re becoming a bit of a sex symbol. You became a star tonight, well done.”
Amanda chipped in: “I loved it, it started off a little bit pitchy but once you got into it, it was great.”
However, Simon didn’t agree, saying: “Robbie, look, I like you a lot and I liked your first audition but I didn’t like your choice of song… You do actually sound a bit like Brian Adams and I think it was a bit copycat… I do think the public are going to get behind you… You’ve got to lose your nerves.”
