Britain Got Talent second semi-final concluded last night with another two acts heading for the grand final.

Comedian Jack Carroll and singer-songwriter Gabz are the two acts that have made it through to the final following their outstanding performance on the show.

Seven other  acts competed for the public vote, with most of them singers including one of the favourites to win Alice Fredenham. However, Alice failed to make the top three spot.

On the night the most popular act with the viewers was Jack Carroll who went automatically through to the final.

Speaking to presenters Ant and Dec after the news, Jack joked: “I thought I might sing some opera or something in the next show.”

The next two most popular acts – Gabz and Jack and Cormac – then had to compete for the judges vote.

It was a seemingly easy decision for the panel, with David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden all voting for Gabs over her similarly young rivals.

It meant that Simon Cowell didn’t vote but later confessed he would have voted with the other judges to send Gabz through.

The pair now  join Arisxandra Libantino and Richard and Adam in the grand final lineup.
