Ratings for Britain’s Got Talent 2013 auditions reach series high to triumph over The Voice

Britain’s Got Talent 2013 auditions may be coming to close as we move to the live semi-finals in just a few weeks’ time, but the viewing figures released this week will make comfortable reading for BGT bosses as the show hit a season high.

The fifth show of the series aired last night saw over 10 million viewers tune in, the highest viewing figures of the series to date.

The figures released included viewers who saw the show over on ITV+1, an average audience of 10.9m million watched the hour long episode, peaking with a huge audience of 12.3 million, making the show the most watched for four years.

However, over on the BBC last night, it must be a nervous time for the show’s bosses as The Voice UK saw a decline of some 600,000 viewers on last Saturday.

The first of the battle rounds aired last night received an averaged 7.4 million viewers and peaked with just over 8 million.
