13 year old drummer boy returned to Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night. Kieran auditioned for last year’s series of the show and made it past the audition stage but the judges decided not to put him through to the live semi-finals.
This year Kieran returned with his mum and dad, not just to support him but to perform as a family band. With dad on the guitar and mum singing lead vocals, the three piece group delivered a rendition of the Motown hit, Do You Love Me. Unfortunately they left the judges unimpressed with their performance. However, Amanda Holden was delighted to see Kieron back. She said:
“I have never got so many texts from people telling me off for not putting you through. You were unbelievable.”
However, Simon took pity on Kieran and allowed him to return for a solo audition. With no backing track available or routine prepared it was a tough call for the 13 year old, but he managed to wowed the judges with his performance.
Amanda Holden said: ‘I am so proud of you! You played for your life there!’
Piers said: ‘Last year we thought that we’d made a mistake in not putting you through, you just proved that we did!’
And Simon Cowell said: “I thought you were good last year, I thought you were fantastic this year. Well done!”
